Terry Maedche

Founder and Product Manager

After graduating with honors in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University, Terry worked for Allied Signal Aerospace, Boeing Helicopter and Sundstrand Power Systems focusing on the development of computer simulations of gas turbine engines and rotorcraft.

At that point in his career he never dreamt his experience and knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) would some day influence artists and musicians. Only after another seven years, at the end of the .com era, would he return to technology development as his focus, seeking out specialists in the field of spatial audio to create new computer tools to circulate sounds through the audio environment defined by DTS, Dolby, and THX - in the field now known as surround sound.

Danny Shapira

Director of Engineering

With past works focusing on the accurate sonfication of physical simulations, Danny has been amazed at the new range of possibilities available through precise control of spatialized audio. A deep interest in the traditional music of India and North Africa are inspiring a new set of computer based performance pieces integrating intimate interaction between constructed simulation and live musician. At IMR, he is the lead software engineer and designer. Danny has a Masters from Dartmouth and is currently working on his PhD at UCSD.
